Rosie, is a fashion designer for her very own young, contemporary, womenswear line, Rosina~Mae. Everything from this line is very wearable and takes you “from the beach, to the street, to the party.”
Tea Party Please!
Getting into the fashion industry is not easy, how’d you do it?!Rosie: I started attending every fashion event that I could each weekend. I would also volunteer and help other designers steam garments, dress models, and prep shoots. In addition, I would occasionally model in shows, which is how I met many of the models that I work with today. Once you’re in the industry, NETWORK! and most importantly stay in touch with people that both appreciate you and what you are doing. When it gets tough…go harder. Here on Tea Time Chatter, we believe in dreaming BIG. Any word to our Tea Time Dreamers on chasing after their dreams?Rosie: You need to find the exact route to take to turn your dream into reality. I feel there are many avenues I could take that would produce positive career enhancing results. I don’t want to “sell out.” I want to remain independent for as long as I can. Producing clothing in an ethical way is very important to me. In addition, my collection is eco-friendly and sustainable. I would like to make my line more accessible and affordable."Be an individual. You determine your overall look. There are too many conformists that match their friends and it bores me to death…" -Rosie
